Earlier today, Crabtree and We are Teachers awarded ten prizes of $200 and a Flip Video Camera to teachers who participated in our grant. More than 240 people responded to our grant question "How do you use non-fiction books to build literacy and comprehension skills in your classroom?" Once an idea is submitted, the author encourages friends, colleagues, and others to vote for their grant idea. (This process brings many people to Crabtree's We are Teachers page and increases our brand awareness.) The voting ended today and we awarded the top ten submissions.
